mouse flickers does not work when try to open link in TB
in received emails-when click on link- mouse flickers and will not work anymore, anywhere. I have to restart computer for the mouse to work.

Actually it is not the mouse that flickers, it is the hourglass. Once that starts, the mouse does not work anywhere.
But what happens if you click a link in another application? Like wordpad.
My first reaction is your mouse is sick and in need of replacement.
Fixed FINALLY-- TB, options, attachments-- the http was set to TD, used the dropdown menu, clicked on Firefox(default) and the thing was fixed. Why was it set to TB instead of Firefox?
Everything in there is based on choices you make when opening attachments.
You know then you are asked what application to use to open an attachment.
