New tab page bookmarks disappeared

I recently cleared my history and then all of my new page pins also disappeared. I can't add them back and the new tab page is not using any current activity history to repopulate the page. It is just blank.

Also.... is it that hard to just have a chat hotline???

The about:newtab page shows websites that you have visited recently, so if you clear the history then there is no history to show.

You can change the order of the boxes on the about:newtab page and drag an item to a different tile to pin it to that position or you can remove a website by clicking the close X to block that URL. You can drag a bookmark or history item and drop them in a tile on the about:newtab page to pin them and have your own favorites sites showing.

The about:newtab page displays the web pages you visit most often. If there is no history, there is nothing to display.
