History sort by "Added" option blank.
When I sort my history in the Library window, with Ctrl+Shift+H, the "Added" sort option does not work, does not show any dates or times added, and then defaults to just sort the history items alphabetically. I have had this problem since before the update to FF 29, and have tried creating a new profile, testing new history items, and it does not work. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled FF, with no solutions. The only sort options that work in my history Library are the "Visit Count" and "Most Recent Visit." The "Most Recent Visit" does show the date and time the history item was last visited, but if I visit the page again I have no idea when it was first added.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.
I did this and it did not work either. The only sort option that actually works correctly for my history Library is the "Most Recent Visit" sort option. Are you able to see the original dates added for your history items when using the "Added" sort option? Especially after trying a completely new profile on a fresh install of Firefox a while back and having the same issue, this appears to be a bug within Firefox itself, or something with the installation on my computer with Firefox.
Thank you though for your help.
Although they share the same column headings, History and Bookmarks use different fields. I think "Added" is only for Bookmarks.
To my knowledge, there isn't a built-in way to search for your first visit to a particular site, or all visits to a particular site. You might be able to use an add-on or third party utility for that. Here's an example of one that seems to show the "first visit date": http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mozilla_history_view.html. I don't think I've ever tried it myself.
Please note that there is a physical limitation on the total amount of history that Firefox will store, so what currently is the earliest known visit might not actually be the earliest visit ever.

Ohhh, I get it now. Thank you so much for clearing this up. I was wondering what that was all about.
