Telus support can't make it work and we've exhausted combinations from their perspective.

We sometimes get an error message stating that the email and password combination are incorrect, but we know they are correct because we can log into their webmail. The Telus tech support also confirmed that this email is set up on their system with the password we are using.

We are told that the proper settings are: pop3.telus.net port 110 SSL: None Authentication: Normal Password SMPT.telus.net port 25 or 1025 SSL: Requires outgoing authentication Authentication: Normal Password

I hope someone has experience tackling this and can help. Thank you in advance!

Try these settings:

Incoming IMAP server: imap.telus.net port: 143 Connection security: None Authentication: Password, transmitted insecurely User name: the part of your address before the @

Outgoing SMTP server: smtp.telus.net port: 25 Connection security: None Authentication: No authentication

For POP accounts (IMAP is recommended), use pop.telus.net for the incoming server on port 110.

Start from File/New/Existing Mail Account, enter your credentials, then click Manual Config. to select the account type (POP or IMAP), and enter the corresponding details.

If it doesn't work, you may have to use your full email address for the User name, or change the outgoing port to 587.
