Bookmark page is gone
I had a really nice Bookmark page that instantly came up when you hit the tab button. It worked really well for my husband who is not good with the computer. I went to a family reunion and when I came back it had been replaced with Ask home page. He does not know what he did and neither do I. Who do I get the Bookmark page that originally came with Firefox back?

That is likely a consequence of the Ask Toolbar that shows in the System Details list.
- Ask Toolbar 3.15.15.36191 (toolbar@ask.com) (Inactive)
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and search for prefs that refer to ask.com. You can reset related user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
I wonder if you have intentionally downloaded and installed several toolbars, possibly even a none Mozilla build of Firefox.
Toolbars such as MySearchDial may be considered unwanted or even malware by some users. An Ask Toolbar will quite possibly change your newtab or search settings.
You have a file user.js that you orsomesoftware has created. Possibly the work of one of the toolbaras you have orhave had and used to change settings.

Please readthis post tehn post backtoday what yoy have tried and howyou goton.
Why not make use of the built in search methods.
Note also that whatever search engine is chosen for the search bar that is then used on other searches such as the location bar search feature and the web search from highlighting then right clicking text within a page.
If it is a Yahoo version of Firefox you may need to do a clean reinstall of Firefox, ( I will explain that in another post if necessary *. ) or if you are lucky it may be possible to reverse the changes. If it is malware causing the problem you may need to get rid of that before you can complete checking and making changes without the problem reoccurring.
Please navigate to about:support and paste the troubleshooting information into your next post using the [Copy text to clipboard] button.
Review the programs installed and displayed from the Windows Control Panel. Again it is possible it is something you installed that is causing this issue.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
- AdwCleaner: (for adware)
- Kaspersky Free security scan
You need to use multiple and up-to-date tools as they will not all pick up the same things.
