When logged in, I can't open my lycos emails since it is blocked by FF with an orange warning triangle beside the URL. When I hit the refresh button, the gray padlock symbol appears only during the operation. As the refresh is done, the orange warning triangle re-appears, and still can't open my emails. Would you please help ?

Click on that warning triangle and read the message that appears. And maybe More Information ....

If you don't understand that message, please post a screenshot of it.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Hello the-edmeister, Here are the screen shots. I need to have the problem solved please. Most frustrating is that those messages do not offer that solution. I almost forgot. I manage to open my emails only once right after log in. But whenever I click back to the emails' list, I can't access the emails again ! I re-logged in, and got the operation repeated. So access is possible only ONCE after log in ! Is there a way to settle this problem pls ?

The "solution" is for Lycos webmail to fix the "unencrypted interactive content"; have it come from secure servers. No "halfway" involved with encrypted pages, it's either "all" encrypted or Firefox is going to let the user know that it isn't "all" with that "Connection Partially Encrypted" message.

Hello again, Thanks for your reply. But why does FF block our access to our webmail instead of just informing us of the question and then leaving us to decide ? Blocking our access won't help solve the problem originating at lycos.com in the first place. Is there a way to disable this FF feature please ? I'm completely dissatisfied with it.

If there is a shield icon to the left of the Site Identity Button (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar then that means that mixed active content is blocked.

If there is mixed passive content (e.g. images) then Firefox shows an exclamation mark instead of globe/padlock on the location/address bar.

You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) and check the Net log for lines with a red vertical bar and a mixed content warning icon (filer/search: mix) to see what content is present on the page. Clear the log and reload the page to get an updated log.

I have followed your above instructions and found no lines in the Net log with a red vertical bar. Only black, grey and blue ones. My lycos webmail never contain(ed) sensitive info, and I never use the webmail for such purposes. Your "unencrypted interactive content" blocking seems to work as a robot regardless what info is exchanged, and is still active. So again, how to disable it please, or is it up to me to tell lycos what to do ?
