my address book through Thunderbird is deleting file folders randomly. I would like to find out why and how to get the deleted folders back?

I keep several folders in alphabetical order for storing my customers e-mail list in my address book. I need to have 16 folders as Thunderbird's address book will not allow you to send more than a 100 e-mails at a time and no more than 500 in a four hour time frame. For some reason 3 of those folders over the past couple of days have just randomly disappeared. I went back through my customer files and hand typed in one of the folders names only to have 2 more disappear on me. I cannot find them in the recycle bin and would like to find out where they have gone to and hopefully retrieve them. Hate to spend the time to hand type all the ones missing only to have them deleted again. Could this be some sort of virus. Everything else on the computer is working fine. Hopefully someone will have an answer. Brian Murden / Beach Gallery

All the limits you mention 100 e-mails at a time and 500 in a four hour time frame are limitations imposed by your mail provider, not Thunderbird. Thunderbird places no restrictions on the maximum number of recipients.

Have you tried turning your computer off for a few minutes?

The sending of the e-mails is through Verizon and realize it is not a problem with Thunderbird. My main question has not been answered though. The random deletion of 3 of my folders issue as well as trying to find a way to retrieve them. thank you, Brian
