Hi everybody, I'm using Firefox 34.0.1 on Android. I tried to import several root self-signed certificates to the trusted root certificate store over the addon available under https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cacert-root-certificate/?src=ss or downloading the certificate in pem format over a link on a web page. I have not seen any error messages installing the addon and when I tried to download the certificate again, a popup message appeared which informed me that the certificate was already added to the store before. If I access over HTTPS a website that uses a SSL certificate signed by the issuer of one certificate I imported, I still get an SSL warning. I don't have any idea about how to debug this issue. Maybe Firefox still does not see those root certificates as trustworthy, or the import was not successful. Can somebody please verify if the import of root certificates is actually working with Firefox 34.0.1? Thank you

It does not work for me either in both Firefox 36.0 and Firefox Beta 37.0, for CACert as well. I tried both the addon and clicking the link on CACert website, no luck. No error, but websites signed with CACert are still prompting an unknown issuer SSL error.

However, uninstalling the current version, then installing Firefox 29.0, installing the certificate and then upgrading to the latest version (Firefox 36.0) allowed me to browse those sites fine. You can get old versions from here : http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/ .

This will be resolved in Firefox 38. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1076329

It appears that it still does not work in Firefox 38 for Android...
