Pop-unders, large full page ads, keep showing up as I exit Firefox. I have updated anti-virus software plus Mozilla's Ad-blocker activated, but still get ads

For the past several months, large full page ads for all kinds on garbage keep showing up under my homepage as I log out of Firefox...sometimes I have to close three or four such ads to shut down computer. They all have the Firefox logo in the upper left corner. I run Windows 7, have Malwarebytes updated, have Firefox's Ad-blocker activated and also use Microsoft's anti-virus program. I STILL get those pop-under ads.

HELP!

Thanks for responding Jon,...I tried that and didn't work. (I have no add-ons). This time I got a huge Publisher's Clearing House pop-under, again with the Firefox logo on the top blue bar.

???????

Never used to get these, so something has changed.

Ok. Here's an add on I have for that kind of situation, you could try it and see if it works. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/strict-pop-up-blocker/

Also, make sure you have blocked pop up windows on Menu>Preferences>Content and then there will be a check box that says "Block pop up windows"

Hello

Try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software, please try all the programs because each one detects different kind of malware:

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Also delete in your profile folder the User.js file you have.

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

thank you
