why wont my spam emails permanently delete?
I delete all my spam mail and it goes to my deleted folder, i then delete all the mail in my deleted folder and the spam reappears in the spam folder.

When was the last time you compacted your folders. Read about compacting here. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_Tips_:_Compacting_Folders
