Printing Issues
When I print a web page, the other columns on many pages overlap with the content I'm trying to print resulting in an unreadable printed pages. This issue does NOT occur in other browsers so I've had to resolve by printing using IE or Chrome. I've tried ALL of the recommended fixes on your help topics with NO fix. All my print page settings are at the recommended default and I've reset the printer properties via your help topic recommendation. Can you help? My printer is a HP laserjet 2200d. My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit.

Hi thelmafletcher, I also get a certificate error on the login page
https://my.if.com/Security/Auth/Logon
When I research it using https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ I can see the problem: a combination of supporting only older levels of the SSL/TLS standard PLUS a cipher that is considered too weak (too breakable).
The bank definitely should update its server!
If you wanted to use Firefox for this site now, you would need to add it to a hidden list to bypass the certificate rejection page:
(1) Copy the host name of the server address. This is the part between the https:// protocol and the next / character, and not including either of those. In this case: my.if.com
(2) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(3) In the search box above the list, type or paste tls and pause while the list is filtered
(4) Double-click the security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts preference to display a box where you can paste the copied host name. If you have something here already, add a comma at the end before pasting to separate the new host name from the previous name(s). Then click OK to save the change.
If you test the login page again, it should display normally, but instead of a padlock in the address bar, you'll see the gray ! warning triangle to let you know Firefox considers the connection to have a security problem.
Hi That works a treat.
Wish you could do the same for my Ebay printing.
Well, I don't use eBay, so I'm not very familiar with printing issues there. I think it has come up in past threads, and on various other sites where people raise issues with eBay, so perhaps a search might turn up something useful.
Thank so much for your help. Re the printing problem, I've tried to look through what i can find. I suspect there may be many other people like me with the same or similar printing problems, who don't know of the excistence of this forum, and perhaps not so many like me who struggle to use any forum. I searched for my problem, and it brought up this one. When I want to come back to it, I can click on the link from your email. How to find anything else in it is hopeless, it's nothing to do with the forum, it's me, I'm a pensioner who USED to have a brain, but I've lost it and can't find it anymore.
Coming back to the issue. Someone has mentioned 'hacking' the page. I haven't a clue what that's about.
Hi thelmafletcher, here's a thread on eBay label printing from six months ago: Error Printing Shipping Labels (due to age, it is no longer possible to comment in that thread). As you can read there, based on the design of the site at the time and someone who dug into the code, we developed a temporary workaround, but not a real solution. And the last post said a Firefox update fixed it. But from your question it sounds as though it broke again...
