how to remove Foxfire back to a previous version (34) that supports forecastfox add-in
version 36 isn't supported by forecastfox add-in. how can I return to a previous version that I can use the add-in with?

Forecastfox was abandoned by it's developer. There is fortunately a fixed version at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/?src=search. Uninstall the original Forecastfox and then install this new version.
I have the new one, and it works great.
