Firefox starts in background on boot, at first Firefox would launch itself on boot then eventually it switched to a background process.

As a side note I noticed a similar bug in Kubuntu which is what Netrunner OS is based off of. If anyone has a solution for this bug please tell me.

H iBaldape, Is Firefox one of your start up programs? or does it happen to be started with a command line option?

Other things that might cause it to load in the background:

Well I didn't enter any command lines to tell it to do this, it just started shortly after I installed Netrunner OS although one upside is Firefox launches much faster this way. But I don't want it launching in the background another thing I noticed from the task manager when ever I use the Click and Clean add-on after closing FF I can tell theres a plug-in that's also shutting down as Firefox does when ever I run Click & Clean as FF closes. Perhaps the Netrunner team has Firefox configured as a start up program much like how Internet Explorer in Windows has some background processes that start on boot.

After importing my bookmark I noticed I can see my bookmarks in Homerun Kicker (the start menu) so it must be configured as a background process. So now begs the question how do I stop it from running in the background in the first place.

It looks like the home run widget only has a favorites page where you can launch them: https://userbase.kde.org/Homerun#Application_launcher Does is also control start up launch? Is there another program that controls start up? However if this is incorrect, please also check with the support of the widget controlling start up.

Thanks for the assist guigs2 but I'm still a little lost yet on why this is even happening in the first place.
