I like to download a newspaper crossword puzzle and print it out. However the the solid black or grey squares in the newspaper print out a pale orange on my printer, (Canon Pixma IP 4700) not grey otr black.

Hi , Thank you for your question, I would first check the capacity of the ink cartridge in the printer. Then you can set the default to gray scale in the printer's settings.

If it is a Firefox related issue, please also consider resetting the Firefox printer settings:
