how do i get fle, edit, view, etc. to appear at top of screen so I can use them
Used to get a line at top of screen with file, edit, view --help at top of screen but it has disappeared.

Hi, to bring up the menu bar temporarily, press Alt. Or right click in the tab bar (but not on a tab) and tick/check Menu Bar.
It is also possible that you are in full screen mode, in which case press F11.
