Cannot set up new gmail account. Sometimes I get "incoming server already exist" Other times I get "Is there something wrong with your login or password?"

I had a perfectly good gmail acct in TBird. It went crazy after I went to some new Google product. However I sitll have another gmail account on TB and it works fine as does several other various accts. So I deleted the offending email acct in TB. Tried to re-create that acct. NO WAY! Meanwhile everything else works fine AND both my gmail accts work fine on the web, on my iPad, on my iPhone. Simply cannot create that old acct which works elsewhere.  ????

Mark, thanks for your thoughts on this. Here is what I learned from trial and error. Alll mail accounts worked fine except in TBird. One Gmail went out. But I did change my security prefs in GMAIL for only this one account. Gmail considers TBird a security risk and would not let me access Gmail from within TBird. Changed the Gmail prefs for that account and all is well. Thanks again.
