Set up thunderbird in one location and moved to a different location in the same build, can't access mail
I lived in one part of my building and set up my email. I moved to another part and got my own internet etc. The only way I can get my mail is to log on to the old modem.

Yes it is
Sounds like maybe the hub/router is perhaps blocking ports?
