TWIMC:

I regret I asked this question in the past and lost your response when my hard drive failed.

When saving an image from a webpage, Firefox (38.05) will remember which folder you last saved an image to. However, if you to save to a different folder, Firefox keeps revert to the first folder if you save another image. I know you have to make a change in the about:config window to allow multiple folders.

I appreciate your help in this matter.

Thanks.

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

You can delete the content-prefs.sqlite file in the Profile Folder to only remove settings stored in this file. That way you keep exceptions stored in permissions.sqlite that would get lost if you clear the "Site Preferences" via Clear Recent History.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
