I know how to manual convert a site in my history into a bookmark. But I want an addon to do this automatically based on critiria that I set in preferences. It would be much like a history addon and bookmark addon combined... here's what it would do: This addon would allow me to set the number of times in a set time period to convert the resulting historical sites into bookmarks, -- then there would be an option to delete history for the x number of days/weeks/months. (As well, this addon would check to see if the bookmark aready existed before making the conversion.) I'd suggest that all these created bookmarks be placed in a bookmark folder with the name of this addon.

An example, of a setting and process that the addon would do: I would set the preferences to convert all sites "> = 10 or more instances of the exact site" "in the previous week" (I may set it to check every 24 hours - as I have my browser on for many days at once). Reminder: it would check if site already existed in the bookmark folder. And also, in my preferences I could set that all history be deleted that are older then 1 week. (three preferences in total for addon)

The purpose of this addon: 1) to help control and reduce the number of historical site in my list (speed up firefox), and, at the same time 2) would preserve the most used sites in my bookmarks (so they could be easily found and used in the future ... and 3) this would be done automatically saving me time maintaining firefox and managing my favorite sites.

Try the add on Speed Dial, it will access your most visited sites. You can add bookmarks based on this to start out with, however I do not have an idea of an add on that organizes them automatically.

You can use an extension to check for duplicates.
