Firefox only saves and shows the Browsing History older than 6 Month. Wonder what happend to the recent Hostory?

For some time now, there is no recent Browsing History at all...it only shows what I did 6 Month ago, or before. I checked the history setting, and it IS set to create a history (BTW: I'm using the german version) Very annoying, not to have a history, anymore...need help, please.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
