I can't get the whole home page to view, only the bottom half so i can't do a search or close out firefox. Can't access top of screen in firefox homepage. In control panel i put display at normal 100% but still have problems. I cleared cache and cookies. Have to close out firefox using task manager where it says option-mozilla firefox then i end the task. Is it stuck in the options mode or something? Using windows 7

As far as troubleshooting info automatically add (below) there was no window opened at the top corner and where is help listed since i had to do this from google chrome?

One possibility is that Firefox is launching into or switching to its Full Screen view. The F11 key switches between regular and full screen views. Does that help at all?

If it's not that...

While it's usually pretty difficult to position the top left corner of a window off the screen, it could happen. If you press Alt+Spacebar and then x to maximize the window, does the top come into view so you can use the toolbars?

If that doesn't work...

You might need to delete a settings file. Getting to the file might be a bit tricky, but you could try it "blind" by pressing these keys in sequence:

Alt h t

That should open the support information page. In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit by pressing these keys in sequence:

Alt f x

Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename that one to localstore.old.

Start Firefox back up again. Do windows display normally again?
