It appears as if the browser itself is not loading pages properly. Opening the browser the text and content of the page (any page) is larger than the browser boundaries regardless of full or small settings. It's even worse in smaller settings. For example, when logging into gmail without changing the screen size down to about 75% it is difficult to view the fields to log into my account. Each page of the login section reverts back to the over sized screen sizes. When in gmail itself unless the screen browser is in full, I do not receive a lower scroll bar at the bottom of the page to fully navigate to right, it appears to be stuck on left alignment format. I have tried the No Squint extension as well as just going into the browser customization itself. I used to love the Firefox browser, but this issues is making it unusable for me and multi-tasking through several pages of information when doing research or study.

Currently running Firefox 40.0 Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint mint-1.0 at this time. OS is Mint 17.2 Rafaela KDE 64-Bit version. Issue started when running Mint 17.1 Rebecca KDE 64-bit version.

You can set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page. If necessary adjust its value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) until icons or text looks right.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

I tried the Default FullZoom Level and NoSquint add-ons, but the adjustments didn't seem to correct the issue. Going into the about:config page and adjusting the value seems to somewhat resolved the issue. I think there's actually a bad bit of code in how Gmail displays the page and doesn't provide a bottom scroll bar to move the page left-to-right to access the login or setting buttons. I was able to get the page adjusted in the config file to work for me, so it works for now. But there might be a larger issue and that might be related more to Google's page code for their e-mail accounts and browser.
