Using Mac [OS X 10.8.5]. Used to have no problem hearing sound on websites when using Firefox. Now no sound on any website using Firefox. When I use Chrome everything works fine. No recent system upgrades.

Volume is fine. I can hear sound when using other browsers or iTunes... Am I checking a Firefox specific volume control?

I updated Flash - that did not solve issue with Firefox.

I cannot upgrade to OS X El Capitan as that will create other problems for me.
