Hi Firefox Support team,

I am looking for a way (parameter) to force Firefox to render everything via the dGPU (AMD /GPU2) instead of the iGPU (Intel).

When flash was available I could set the flash /plugin container to be accelerated by the dGPU in the AMD Catalyst Control Centre. (CCC)

However seeing as how this is no longer the case Firefox is running with less than optimal speed on older systems with Intel HD first gen graphics.

I can set Firefox to use the 2nd GPU in CCC but this will not force the actual program to run on AMD.

It seems I still need a parameter to force the actual program to render everything via the 2nd GPU.

Many thanks in advance!

Usually you have to set within the video cards program to run applications to run using (default, on-board graphic, or the video card) I use nividia. So i don't know how to really control AMD cards. However I bet you if go to there site they may have a tutorial on how to set Firefox to open with AMD instead of Intel.

Sorry.

This is a very specific issue and a very specific request for help since there are no other options. Seems like maybe the developers can help out with this seeing as this is pretty technical in nature.

Like I already mentioned. Firefox does not utilise the dGPU even after set for the dGPU in CCC (Catalyst Control Centre).

There has to be some kind of parameter to force this.
