Firefox is my default browser. I have tried to get the extension your way with no result F-secure safe has only limited protection without the extension telling me that browser extension is not installed or turned off. How can I turn it on or otherwise get it

Current Firefox releases require extensions to be signed to prevent abuse by malware. In Firefox 43 unsigned extensions will be disabled by default. You can set xpinstall.signatures.required to false to disable this security feature in Firefox 43. In release and beta builds of Firefox 44 and later you can no longer override this.
