I've tried (FOR YEARS : ( to set up another email account, but I always end up at this error message:

"Configuration could not be verified--is the username or password wrong?"

I THOUGHT I followed all the steps. I have in the past been able to set up other email accounts but, being 65 I can't remember how I did it! (Treasure your youth !)

Thanks, christ1, but I'm SO ignorant I don't know what 3 words in your 5-word sentence mean exactly: verify, credentials, webmail.

The folk who run the email service will have a website where you can work with your email account through your Web browser. If you can get into your email account that way then we know for sure that you are using the correct email address (or user name) and password.
