I have an old computer with Windows Vista. I was using Windows Mail for email. I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and don't like the email app so have installed Thunderbird. I want to transfer my inbox folders from Windows mail on my old computer to Thunderbird on the new. I have successfully transferred my contacts however have not been able to transfer my folders.

I have identified the folders on the old computer saved them on a external hard drive however have not been able to get Thunderbird to recognize them. I go to Tools> Import> then only option is Eudora, Oulook or Outlook Express. Outlook Express is the only option that the computer will will allow me to choose. When I choose that and indicate the destintion file Thunderbird does not recognize the files. Help! I would like to use Thunderbird but I have to be able to transfer my inbox folders.
