Acrobat plugin insists on printing one extra blank page at the end of each document - why?

See summary. FF and plugin up to date; Win10; hp4x00 laser printer w/duplex unit, which saves paper but not when this plugin thingy always spits out an extra page... Opening pdfs in Adobe Reader (XI and now DC) and printing from there works as expected but defeats the purpose and snappyness of having the plugin...

I am not sure what version of Acrobat Reader that is installed but it sounds like this issue recently that had a patch. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-wont-print-reader-10.html

Please make sure all of the addons/extensions are up to date first.
