my account settings show the correct email address for each account. I have my main account kimurray@comcast.net then I have an alternate gmail account kimimurray75@gmail. If I create an email in my main account, the address I am sending it from is shown as coming from my main account - kimurray@comcast.net. When the person gets it, they open the email and the address has been switched so the sender is my gmail account kimimurray75@gmail. all replies go to gmail instead of my main mail.

I have had thunderbird managing my dual email accounts for years with no problem. I never changed this in any way. It just started happening. All my settings in my thunderbird look correct. This is changing after I send the email.

how can I fix this? The email address I select to send from should not be changing  :(

Thank you

worked it out - gmail account settings were switching the return address. Fixed so the right address was assigned to the accounts. found it in the help pages - and the solution worked. didn't have to ask. Sorry.
