When an email is forwarded i'd like to see who is the recipient so i know who is dealing with it, is that possible?
We use Thunderbird for a small business, several people have now got their own email account instead of using one inbox and now i need to oversee who is answering each email or what action has been taken. Is there a way that i can see what email address an email has been forwarded or even the address it has been replied to? It would save me a lot of time searching in individual email inboxes.

try right clicking and select view in conversation. not what your asking for but a reasonable substitute I think.
You might also find the conversations add=on helpful, as it brings a Gmail style to Thunderbird sop the email and the reply will look as they do in gmail and you will be able to see the action.
The add-on conversation sounded like something good to try but i can't open it with any program, not thunderbird or any others i have tried...bit confused why i can't easily add on an add-on?! I am running the latest thunderbird version 45.0
I have also discovered, that when searching emails..to find a particular email, some don't appear even if i can see them in a sent file and know i have sent an email. I also just looked in my own sent file and instead of the email of the person i have sent a mail to, my email name appears..so i can't see who i have sent mails to at all.
This is becoming a real hassle as i don't know if somehow my application has become corrupted, if my computer has a bug, if it is just the email being too full, or some other unknown reason.

Only the new text of a forwarded email is indexed. Not the previous parties text.

Then click the little widget on the end of the heading line or right click the heading and put whatever heading in there you wish.

I would say lack of knowledge of the software is the issue. Not any virus, or bug..
