All the action is ON THE LEFT, where pinned tabs are. So, moving the cursor back and forth and back and forth....
No way to put the refresh icon on the left side, where it belongs. Dumbdesign.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to customize the appearance and restore features used in older Firefox versions.

Are you unable to right-click a tab and use Reload Tab?
That way the cursor doesn't leave the area where those tabs are sitting.
