Trying to sign into Facebook using the latest Firefox browser but I get error message saying I need to have Java installed. I have the latest version of Java installed and checked this morning to verify that while using the Firefox browser. .....I can sign in to Facebook using Google Chrome which recognizes, apparently, that I do indeed have Java. Firefox is my favorite browser. Not being able to sign into Facebook using it is a new problem that just came up this morning. Thanks in advance for helping resolve this problem so I can again sign into Facebook while using the Firefox browser.

hi, this sounds quite suspicious as facebook shouldn't depend on java at all. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

Note the JavaScript in Firefox and the Java Plugin are two different things.
