When using Quick Message filter, the text doesn't autoclear after selecting another folder so how can I make it autoclear again on Mac?
Before a recent Thunderbird update, I could type a name into the Quick Filter search bar, find what I need in my inbox, then click on a different folder such as "Sent," then go back to my inbox and the name would automatically delete itself. Now the name remains in the search bar no matter how many other files I click on. is there a way to get the search text to auto delete again?

So this just happened...shortly after I posted this question this morning, the autodelete feature in the Quick Search bar started working again. Very mysterious. I didn't change a thing.
