Emails that are from trusted sources, from the same source I have opened many before, after appearing in my inbox, I do what anybody does..click on it to read, and rather than opening up for me to read, disappears immediately into my junk folder! NOT classified as junk ever!

Ok, now that I gave you the information requested a while ago, no response??? Still no help?? A very important work email just got inadvertently deleted, and was not even in my junk or trash folder!!! Luckily, with windows 10, I found the email in the windows app, but otherwise would have lost it permanently just by clicking on it!!

You found it in the mail app in windows 10.... well that is probably why it is not in Thunderbird. Did you set the account up there as pop? Does it remove the mail from the server when it gets it? Is Thunderbird IMAP.

No. You are not understanding what I'm saying. I get all my mail in thunderbird! what I said was, that when I click on emails, sometimes it goes directly to trash, or whatever before I've had the chance to read it. I do not call it junk, it is in my accepted addresses list, but when I click on it to read it, it goes. I merely mentioned finding it in the mail app to say I was lucky it was STILL there so that I could read it. It has absolutely nothing to do with going there rather than thunderbird. My mail is set up correctly. I am quite technically savvy myself and only seek answers when everything I"ve tried isn't working and I can find no other solution similar online
