What happened to the settings for blocking cookies?

I click TOOLS then PRIVACY where I usually find the thing about blocking cookies - I block all third party cookies and have all first party cookies cleared when I close the browser. Something odd happened and Mozilla seemed to update itself, although it isn't supposed too - and now when I go to PRIVACY all I see is Tracking, HIstory and Open Tabs. I can't find the settings for cookies anywhere. I also can't find the settings to tell the browser to STOP updating itself Where did everything go? I don't even know now how to clear cookies as I'm working.

Under History, change from "Firefox will: Remember history" or "Firefox will: Never remember history" to "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" to reveal the detailed settings.

Did Firefox "Refresh" during your update? You would know because many settings would be changed and many add-ons removed, and there would be an Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop with freshly updated content inside.
