I have found that all my Sent emails are shown as having been sent by someone else.
When I look at an email in my Sent folder, whether a recent one or several years old, it shows the address of another person in the From box, and I suppose any reply would be directed to him. This person happens to be a friend of mine, and it's very embarrassing for both of us. This only happens in Thunderbird, not in webmail.

First try reindexing the file. Right click on 'Sent' folder and select 'Properties' click on 'Repair folder' button click on OK select another folder and then reselect 'Sent' report back on results.
