Right-click on link, choose "open link in new tab" and nothing happens. Worked fine a couple of hours ago before I installed update to version 48. Using Linux Mint 18. Also noticed that the right-click menu is now HUGE (as in a ton of stuff/options have been added) as opposed to the five or so items I'm used to seeing. Wasn't like this this morning before update. Just saying.

Possibly related. Clicking on firefox icon on panel does not immediately launch firefox. instead the minimized "button" appears on the panel and hovering the mouse over it shows a gray screen with "firefox" on it. After waiting for big and clicking on it several times it finally opens up maximized as you would normally expect it to do the first time.

Hello mx4789, please try to change in about:config the next preference

  • distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale

from "data:text/plain,distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale=en-US" to "en-US"

if you have a different locale en-GB for example, change it to en-GB

any luck ?

thank you

This may be a issue with the Mint provided package of Firefox 48.0 http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14677607#p14677607

Changing the Locale string did not help. Actually, it was already set to en-US without the preceding part of the string you show. Thanks anyway!
