Firefox disabled Kaspersky add-ons; about:config doesn't include needed option to override.
The latest automatic update of Firefox disabled three Kaspersky add-ons that had previously functioned well. The information page said I could override by going to about:config and setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false. I went there. There is no such entry. There are two entries relating to a whitelist. Would either of them help? (And if one or both of them is the current solution, would you please update the linked information page?)

Hi Kate8, the override is no longer available in Firefox 48 and later.
Are you sure your Kaspersky software is up-to-date? I believe they have already released signed versions of their extensions.
If the software can't be updated and you really miss the functionality of those add-ons, the last section of the article has options for advanced users: Add-on signing in Firefox.
Situation is worse than I thought (and I must be losing it). The signatures.required option was there, already set to false, but obviously had no effect. I've toggled it twice, to try to get back to false, but the Kaspersky icon has not reappeared. Now what?
