The date of my calendar is correct, but people will invite me to an event taking place at 12.30AM (according to them) and thunderbird will mark it for 2.30PM

Something is wrong with my thunderbird calendar: - though the date is right (Nov 29th for today for instance) - whenever somebody invites me to an event, the invitation email will be for a different time than what the person tells me otherwise (by phone or face to face). For example, they will tell me they invited me to an event for 12.30PM and instead the email invitation I receive is for 2.30PM. - this has happened so often it leads me to say that it's systematic and not a simple occasional mistake of the sender. - correspondingly, once I accept the invitation, the event is inscribed into my calendar at the wrong time as well.

Instead of changing manually each event's time, I would like to know if there is any way to fix this problem once and for all. My computer date and time are fine.

Thanks,

is the time zone correct in On the toolbar > Options > Calendar > General?

What about on your computer. Double click the clock on the bottom right and select the timezone settings on the clock that opens. The default for windows is Redmond in Washington state. Everyone else has to set a time zone as well as the time.
