Thunderbird's graphics shows defects on Win10-HP Envy
I have a HP notebook (see bottom for equipment details). After approx 1 hour of use, when switching between app, (for example with Alt-Tab fast switching) when I come to Thunderbird I see large white squared holes instead of the graphic interface of Thunderbird . It seems that sometimes Thunderbird graphics will not update itself when switching among other apps.
But if I move the mouse above Thunderbird windows, everything goes OK, and graphics comes back. It seems that Thunderbird needs a "forced graphic refresh" , from Windows' mouse, for example.
This would sound like a graphic board problem, or a Windows bug, but this problem happens only with Thunderbird; none of other apps show this problem.
I already checked and updated Windows10 and my graphic drivers to the latest version.
You can find attached three examples of my Thunderbird windows during the problem: the first relates to when I switch to Thunderbird, and you can see large portion of graphics missing; the second when I start to move the mouse on it, and some graphics appears, the third when I almost completed mouse movements on the windows and almost all graphics is back.
Do you have any suggestion how to face and solve this problem? Thank you for help and support,
On the bottom you can find details of my equipment
Bye, Alberto Pozzi

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Options > Advanced > General tab > Use hardware acceleration when available. Does that help?
Some graphics cards are known to cause these glitches, especially Nvidia or Intel cards. Disabling hardware acceleration should not degrade Thunderbird’s performance.
Thank you Tonnes, actually the check was ON, I turned it OFF. Let's see in a few hours if it solved the problem. Thanks a lot !!
