How do I export my outlook address book into my new Thunderbird email account? I'm using Windows 10. I Googled an answer but it did not work. There are lots of email addresses in my outlook address book but when I followed the steps to export the contents there was nothing in the folder and I cannot locate the "correct" folder in Outlook that contains my email contacts. Can you please help. Thanks Graeme

You really need to be asking on an Outlook support forum for guidance on exporting from that program.

Surely many new Thunderbird users would wish to import their old address book details into Thunderbird. Surely there is a SIMPLE way of doing this. I cannot imagine Outlook would want to help me migrate to another system. So are there simple instructions on importing an address book into Thunderbird? Thanks Graeme

We'll help you with importing once you have some data to import. Your first message seems to be telling us you have not been successful in exporting from Outlook.

I don't use Outlook. I try to avoid using Windows, particularly Windows 10. So even if you'd told us which version of Outlook you're using, all I can do is do the googling for you.

Here is how to import, assuming you have a CSV file:

Maybe Outlook will export addresses to Vcard (.vcf) file format? If so we can help you import those too.

Or post here the link to the help you used and maybe someone can give guidance on it.
