Where is None-GMail All-Mail Folder
I had to re-install TBird. Subsequently, I cannot find how to add or enable the "All Mail" folder that i had in the previous installation.
This All Mail folder is not GMails All Mail sub folder. But instead it is a global folder where all new emails from all email accounts, ie gmail, live, hotmail, juno, etc, were aggregated for ease of review. This folder was also located at the top of the side bar where all the email account folders are listed.
Can anyone advise how to enable this All Mail folder?
btw: This folder is very helpful especially when there are multiple accounts set up in TBird. And without this global folder, we users have to scroll through the list of email expanded email folder to see which have new messages or not.

Thunderbird doesn't have a native All Mail folder, so this must be something you made for yourself.
There are several possibilities.
- You use POP in all of your accounts and use the Global Inbox in Local Folders. Maybe you renamed Local Folders to All Mail.
- You used filters to move all incoming messages to a self-defined All Mail folder.
- You used Unified Folders View.
There is no single control to switch it on or off. I suspect that option 1 is what you had, from your description of it being at the top. But to recover this situation, you need to set all your accounts up using POP, and set each one to use the Global Inbox. Look under Server Settings|Message Storage→Advanced.
Note that left to itself, Thunderbird will have chosen IMAP for you, and IMAP doesn't work with the Global Inbox. You may find that the View|Folders|Unified view is close enough, and it will let you combine POP and IMAP accounts together.
BTW, I use View|Folders|Unread to find unread messages. No need to scroll about looking for new messages.

Yeah, i did recall in the previous TBird install most of the accounts were set up as Pop. But now most of them got set up as IMAP. So i think i recall some correlation to the Pop and the Global All Mail folder.

The Thunderbird user community seems to be split between those who want it all in one big heap, and those who want separation so they don't mix business with pleasure. And there are extremists who use separate profiles to guarantee separation between different types of account.
What we have can fit all these needs. Global Folders is there if you want it. An Inbox is an Inbox. All Mail has been pre-empted by googlemail and in any case, a global inbox is not the same as "all mail"; google's usage means it also includes Sent, Deleted, Junk, Archives etc.
