Firefox crashes
I have had on crash and here is the data from the "about:crashes" system:
Report ID Date Submitted bp-8ec3378a-493e-43fb-9c34-aa0250170507 5/6/17 6:04 PM
After the crash, I tried to re-open Firefox, and was prompted to log-in (I've never had to log-in in a decade).
I followed the log-in procedure and Firefox treated me as if I was a new enrollee.
I had lost all my data, favorites, bookmarks, and unique settings.
That was on April 28th. Since I've had to spend time trying to get my email system working, I finally came back to finding out how to re-set my Firefox account today, on May 6th. I realized that there was now way to re-establish my bookmark history. This led me to learn about profiles and seeking help through this system.
So, is there a way to reset my Firefox account to a time before the crash?

The only 'login' in Firefox is if you set the Master Password in the Password Manager. The login might be from your home page.

Sorry, but I don't know Win10. I called for more help.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
When multi-process windows in Firefox is enabled then Firefox will use more memory and may be less responsive. Try to disable multi-process windows in Firefox to see if that has effect.
You can disable multi-process windows in Firefox by setting these prefs to false on the about:config page.
- browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false
- browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
