log in error with gmail
Yesterday, I ran into big problems with one of my gmail accounts and Thunderbird. Suddenly I could not log in. I got a pop up window saying something like I need to log in via google put the NEXT button would not work. (Or any of the other clickable links). After 2 hours on the phone with google we could not figure out the problem. I tried all of the suggestions I could find online including changing security settings, etc. I even changed my password and ended up deleting the account from TB. I tried again last night and then after no success, changed by sign in option to normal password instead of OAuth2. Suddenly it worked! But now I keep getting the gmail pop up window about my password whenever I send an email. The email still goes out, but I have to close the window every time. SO what is going on? I am thinking it has something to do with the OAuth2 password needing to be cleared, but even after I deleted it in passwords, it still didn't work. BTW, my other gmail accounts work just fine in TB. Please help.

The multiple pwd prompt is nothing to do with oauth.
Note, if you update to 52.1.0 Thunderbird you should be able to change back to oauth. Info and workarounds listed at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1359297 (note, that bug is not for support questions)
