this all started when fire fox started when firefox started posting messages under search box. also if you tell fire fox not to remember history it locks up all the time on all web sites.

Did you do a Refresh (or create a new profile) that removed your customizations and add-ons? The reason I ask is: the symptoms you described could be issues you had previously avoided with some changed settings or extensions. The tell-tale sign of a Refresh is an Old Firefox Data folder appearing on your desktop. A new profile would usually not even have your bookmarks and be completely vanilla.

Firefox has had messages and random logo customization on the built-in home page for a few years now. (The messages are called "snippets" in case you wanted to search for hacks here.)
Many snippets can be removed by hovering your mouse pointer over them and clicking an X button in the upper right corner of them. Anyway, I don't think those are the cause of your locking up problem, as I don't think they affect normal web pages.
If you only use the built-in home page for its search box, another option would be to use your preferred search engine's home page instead. This article covers the steps for switching: How to set the home page.

If you set the selector on the Options page Privacy panel to "Firefox will: Never remember history" then Firefox will switch to automatic private browsing mode. I haven't heard that Firefox locks up more in this mode. There may be some other factor.
I don't know whether the site suggested this article, but if you haven't seen it, does anything here help: Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix.
I did refresh and I had 7 old firefox data folders on the computer. from your answer I deleated all 7 and refreshed it solved 90% of the problems.
the irl snippets are still there I clicked the x button and they keep coming back they will not go away. when I took firefox out of never remember history mode the irf snippets went away. they come back when I go back to never remember history mode.
you solved 90% of the problem thank you the computer doesn't lock up now that I deleated the old firefox data folders and refreshed
I wasn't aware that Firefox "forgot" that you removed a snippet if you use automatic private browsing. In that case you could consider using a custom style rule to hide all snippets, or using a different home page.
