How can I reconnect my link from Thunderbird to the server?
Thunderbird and gmail are not working together. I only have access to my email through google.com. I have had my Thunderbird account for many years, and miss all the advantages it offers. The failure occurred on 22 July, three days ago. The same day I installed You Tube.

I have had my Thunderbird account for many years
There is no such thing as a "Thunderbird account". You've set up an account with an email provider, e.g. Gmail or Yahoo. Then you use Thunderbird to access mail for that account on your email provider's server, as well as to send mail via your email provider's server.
Thunderbird and gmail are not working together.
You'd need to explain in more detail what that means:
- what you're doing
- what happens
- what you expect to happen
