How do I stop dead addresses from popping up automatically when I address mail; they are not in my contacts list.
When I type a recipient, autofill suggests who I am looking for. This can be frustrating when there is one Bill I talk to every day, and there are 14 Bills ahead of him in the list. More frustrating though is when the correct person is there, but the wrong email (usually and old and dead one). IS there anyway to delete an address that you know you are not going to want to select, and stop it from appearing on the list? Thanks!

All contact suggestions come from one of your address books. You have two books by default. The Personal and the Collected books. Find the bad addresses and correct or delete them.
I have heard of instances where the bad addresses could not be found, usually because it was entered as a secondary address for a contact. To find those, start a message. Type something that makes the problem address appear. Save the message as a draft. Go to the Drafts folder. Make sure the Message Pane is turned on. F8 toggles it on and off. Select the message in the drafts folder. The address will display in the header of the Message Pane. It should have a color filled star to the right of the address. Click the star to open the contact edit dialog and fix it or delete it.
