Messages don't download unless I select the email account
I have 5 email accounts, different domains(i.e. ymail, gmail, outlook, etc.) I generally stay in the Unified Folders Inbox as you might expect. All but one are IMAP.
My IMAP Settings are all "Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive".
One of my accounts (ymail, variation of yahoo), does not d/l messages unless I actually click the account folder. However, I do receive the "pop-up" notification on my PC that a new message has arrived.
In context - I have a filter on this account that plays a sound when an email arrives from my home security system. It defeats the purpose if I have to select the folder before the filter does it's job. I must also transition away from that folder and come back to it before it d/l new messages. This may also be relevant - I use the extension "Mailbox Alert" to add functionality to the filter which is only run on this account.
The other accounts seem to work okay.
Anything I may have overlooked?

Have you tried starting Thunderbird in 'Safe Mode' to see if the addons are causing a conflict?
In Thunderbird 'Help' > 'Restart with addons disabled'
Run for a while in that mode and report back on what you discover.
I did restart it in "Safe Mode", and the issue is still there. I had to click on each account, and then the green bar across the bottom shows progress. But letting it sit idle, it stays idle.
Hello...
This issue remains. Messages don't download unless the TBird window has focus, and in most cases actually selecting the individual account under Unified Folders (I have 5 accounts). If I were running this on a Linux box, I'd say the TBird process was suspended.
Anyway, I keep returning to this problem in the hopes of creating some custom filters or alerts on my mailboxes, but it's pointless to do so if messages don't download automatically.
Originally I stated only one account does this. But more often than not, they all do.
Thanks in advance.
Do you have the get messages set to a time? Do the download at that time? I am wondering if the situation is a oddity of the way ymail implement the relevant IMAP feature.
