I used to open my email and have a list of my emails that I could individually click on and the email would open in a new frame. Since updating to the latest "quantum" browser, when I click on an email it flashes for a fraction of a second (as if it's opening).

So I thought maybe it was the email program acting up, but when I sign into my account through the excite.com portal using Chrome, it works fine. So this problem is something brand new with Quantum. I did set the setting to allow popups but that had no effect on my issue.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.

thanks, steve

Hi stevebarr

Have you tried following the instructions in this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-troubleshooting? It should have all the information you need about how pop-up blocker settings work.

Let me know if that helped.

Tried it but it didn't work.

I don't really want to delete Mozilla and move totally to using Chrome and Opera, but when I log into the excite.com portal and use their webmail program with those browsers, I can click on an email in the preview pane and it opens in another (new) window - just like Mozilla used to do.

So I'm pretty certain that what's happening is very specific to some improvement in Quantum that is not really an "improvement" for me.
