I started getting "can not download mail due to insufficient space" errors and I was like wtf theres 50gigs free on C.. and then I found a Mail folder on my E drive which is a 349mb partition named "system reserved". I copied my mail out and googled how to change mail location but everything told me it should be stored in my profile folder which IS set correctly in profiles.ini.

To be sure I changed from relative to an absolute path. Started thunderbird, hit get mail.. instantly created its mail folder on E again and started downloading messages!

How can I: a) fix this and keep all mail on on C b) preferably merge the mail I've copied off E which its been putting there for who-knows how long with the mail folders that indeed are in my profile folder

Thanks!

I have found the settings (not until completely butchering my install of thunderbird mind.. -_-)

It's actually simply tucked away under Tools->Account Settings and then for each mail account you have under Server Settings at the very bottom is Local Folder which is where its storing the mail.

How the hell it ever became E I will never know - but E has been removed from my pc now as it was a system reserved from an old install of windows that had been left over (thus it was given a drive letter by new install! Daftness all around)
